Free guildwars for 10 hours
I don't see this posted yet but if i'm wrong oh well.
Seems like ATI is running this promotion but i don't think you need their product.

this is for your friends who don't have it yet so you can sucker them into this game! errr i mean show them the wonders of guild wars.

I don't know exactly how many "wonders of Guild Wars" you can experience in your first ten hours. You'll either spend them trudging through the neverending fetch quests and piss-poor combat of pre-Searing and Ascalon, or running the Paladin premade and losing in random arena. I can see it turning more people away than suckering in. If you want to run a promotion, you allow access to the fun areas (well, Sorrow's Furnace... it'd be a good time to allow people to roll lv20 "temporary" characters on a trial account, with access only to the War Camp) or run an Unlock All Skills weekend with trial accounts. Not confine them to the boring newbie zones.

no doesn't seem you need to. just choose the model. doesn't seem to be asking for a receipt of anything.
Funny on the mumbly fish comments. yeah sucker them in with the excitement then throw them back to presearing happy world once you get their money. hehahaha! then they find out it'll take a long time to get to where they where before they bought the game! doh!

I loved my first 10 hours of game play. actually loved every of my 100 or whatever hours game play so far.
first hour, ahhs and ohhs on the graphic and the beautiful female models, seeing the falling leaf, seeing the water fall for the first time. what a peaceful country side.
2nd hour, ahhs and ohhs on how well designed the game interface is
3rd hour, ahhs and ohhs on how well designed the quest system is
4th hour, starting to feel Gwen is getting annoying, but at the same time lovable
5th hour, being a newbie, starting to fail some of the more complexed quests and starting to bang my head on the keyboard.
6th hour, figuring some of those quests out and feeling like a hero.
7th hour, finding out I can click on the big map to travel between cities! No more long ass running!!!! yeah!!!!!!!1111!!one
something like that...

well, you could always...*gasp* run them thru, in the good name of showing them lots that ascalon and kryta ect has to offer....shouldnt take that long to get them to work out thier main and second class, get them thru the main missions and maybe to lions arch, if you just stick to the main mission quests.
explain that you have taken them the absolute direct route and that theres a whole heaping amount they can do in the world besides the main quest, but you wanted to show them theres more to the world of guild wars than burnt out post searing....
(especialy good when you have just shown a freind the main game in post and pre sear, but at the time, guildwars beiong new to you, you couldnt show them lions arch or the desert cause you had yet to get there yourself lol)
normaly, running is sorta bad....specialy when its just to show off in the low arenas...for getting good armour THEN going thru the game again...grey area but not half as bad as for showing off in PvP lol....
but for the good of guild wars, and the ruining of the lives of your friends with the fac that they will spend all thier time in game with us..i think we can look the other way to that little ahem, naughty trick ^^

WOW ArenaNet, sponsor me and i will paint your logo on my house as big as i can and scrawl your web address on the backs of bus seats.
(actually, on a certain peer-to-peer network i had a good idea. I made a text file called "Buy Guild Wars, it's the best" so if anyone searched for guild wars, they would see it This came about because someone else had made one warning about potential key loggers and that they mustn't download stuff)
I'd say my 30 seconds of work may have earned ArenaNet a buck or two

Tons, as it's the prettiest and most relaxed area of the entire game. And yes, I've been to the new areas.
The one downside of pre-searing is the small party size.

A.k.a. spoil the game for them.
Get real, guys. The later areas in the game are different, not more fun. It's not so that it's necessarily more fun to kill a level 28 mob when you're level 20 than kill a lvl 5 mob when you're level 1.
